THE COMPETION
For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) runs the FIRST Robotics Competition or FRC. Sponsored by companies including Google, Disney, Lego Education and NASA, FIRST is a non for profit organisation which aims to inspire and promote STEM throughout the global community.
WHAT IS FRC
Each year high school students develop their STEM skills, with the guidance of alumni and industry mentors. They work on skills such as engineering, business, and marketing. With teams demonstrating Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition®, it prepares students for the workforce and allows them to pursue STEM careers.
THIS SEASON
Despite the threat of COVID the Melbourne Robocats are back for another season of FRC.
The girls have continued to work hard this season whilst welcoming many new girls to their home in Monash Tech School.
With a new robot on the rise, the team has continued to build, prototype and code to ensure the completion of the 2022 robot.
